Synopsis
In 'La terza madre', an ancient urn found in a cemetery outside Rome unleashes a series of violent incidents upon its opening. Robberies, rapes, and murders increase dramatically while mysterious young women gather in Rome. The return of Mater Lacrimarum, the last of three powerful witches, is suspected to be behind these events. Sarah Mandy, an art student with apparent supernatural abilities, finds herself alone in her quest to prevent Mater Lacrimarum from destroying Rome.

Dario Argento's 'La terza madre' (2007) is a horror film that follows the tradition of Italian Giallo films and incorporates elements of fantasy. The story revolves around an ancient evil, Mater Lacrimarum, who returns to spread terror in Rome with the help of an army of psychos and demons. Art student Sarah Mandy emerges as the protagonist tasked with preventing this destruction. The film explores themes of supernatural forces and personal power.
