Synopsis
The movie 'La reine Margot' (1994) unfolds during the religious war in France in the late 16th century. The story revolves around Margot de Valois, the sister of the immature Catholic king, Charles IX. To impose peace and end the conflict between Catholics and Hugenots, a forced marriage is arranged between Margot and Henri of Navarre, the Hugenot king.
