Synopsis
Four childhood friends—an airline pilot named Yves, a television host named Marc, a military officer named Philippe, and a banker named Alain—gather at Yves's lavish villa with a shared intention of eating themselves to death as an extreme form of suicide. They invite various women, including call girls, to join them in their indulgent feasts. Throughout the film, they gorge on extravagant meals prepared by professional chefs while engaging in idle conversations and sexual encounters. As days pass, their bodies begin to deteriorate due to overeating, but they continue with their gluttonous binges until the inevitable conclusion.

La grande bouffe is a 1973 French-Italian film directed by Marco Ferreri.
