Synopsis
In 'La califfa', following labor strikes in Italy, the protagonist's husband is killed. She then becomes an ardent militant for the strikers' cause and opposes Doverdo, who was once a worker himself but has now become the factory manager.

Résumé
Directed by Alberto Bevilacqua in 1970, 'La califfa' is a drama film set against the backdrop of labor unrest in Italy.
