Synopsis
Eric Sloane travels to Thailand to challenge Muay Thai champion Tong Po but fails and suffers severe injuries. Eric's younger brother Kurt returns home in a coma. Upon recovery, Kurt decides to train under their late father's mentor, Master Durand, to avenge his brother by defeating Tong Po in the ring. Throughout his training, Kurt struggles initially due to lack of natural talent but eventually discovers inner strength that allows him to confront Tong Po.

Résumé
Kickboxer: Vengeance is a 2016 action-drama film directed by John Stockwell and serves as a reboot of the 1989 Kickboxer movie. The story follows the Sloane brothers, Eric and Kurt, who are descendants of a prominent Venice, California martial arts family. When Eric challenges Tong Po in Thailand but loses badly, Kurt takes it upon himself to train under Master Durand to seek revenge against Tong Po. The film explores themes of perseverance, inner strength, and redemption through the trials Kurt faces during his rigorous training.
