Synopsis
In 'In a Savage Land', two anthropologists married to each other embark on a research expedition to an island off Papua New Guinea in the pre-World War II era. As they immerse themselves in the local culture, life as they know it becomes increasingly complicated when war breaks out, disrupting their lives and the lives of those around them.

Résumé
Directed by Bill Bennett and released in 1999, 'In a Savage Land' is an Australian adventure drama set against the backdrop of World War II.
