Synopsis
Irresponsible and carefree Maggie lives rent-free with her father and stepmother until she's kicked out after causing too much disruption. She moves in with her responsible older sister Rose, a successful lawyer in Philadelphia. However, Maggie's reckless behavior soon causes friction between the sisters, leading to another falling-out when Maggie tries to sabotage Rose's relationship with her boyfriend. After this incident, neither their father nor Rose will take Maggie back. While searching through their father's desk for money, Maggie discovers an address and learns about their estranged grandmother Ella. Ella's arrival in their lives forces both sisters to confront long-buried truths about themselves and their family.

Résumé
In 'In Her Shoes' (2005), directed by Curtis Hanson, two polar-opposite sisters navigate their complicated relationship and family dynamics. Maggie, the younger sibling, is spontaneous but irresponsible, while Rose, the elder sister, is practical and successful yet lonely.
