Synopsis
Maria, a successful businesswoman living in Germany with her husband, desperately wants to be a mother but has repeatedly miscarried. After being told she can't have children, she suggests adoption, but her husband temporarily leaves her due to his own struggles with the situation. Following her latest miscarriage, Maria begins hearing the voice of her unborn child and becomes determined to find a baby, even if it means buying one from a prostitute on the black market near the German-Czech border. She hires Petit, a drug-addict, to facilitate this transaction. However, their actions attract the attention of the Russian mafia who run the prostitution ring, putting Maria and those she's contacted in mortal danger.
