High Society follows Jang, an economics professor at Seoul National University who becomes a public hero after saving a man from burning and winning a TV debate. Inspired by his newfound fame, Jang decides to enter politics and oversees the creation of a social bank. Meanwhile, his wife Oh Soo-yeon, deputy director of a contemporary art gallery, tries to replace her female manager with the help of Shin Ji-ho, a popular photographer with whom she begins an affair. Both spouses navigate high society, where they encounter politicians, criminals, and wealthy heirs engaged in secret transactions. Their ambition takes them deep into this elite world, but they face consequences for their actions.
