Synopsis
Guinevere tells the story of Connie, an aging Bohemian photographer who meets Harper, a young woman from an affluent family headed for Harvard Law. Recognizing her potential and beauty, he takes her under his wing as his protégé and pupil, renaming her 'Guinevere'. The relationship between the much older Connie and younger Harper develops, with Harper blossoming under Connie's tutelage but eventually feeling stifled by their dynamic. When she discovers that she is merely the latest in a string of ingenues named Guinevere, she leaves him. However, she returns later, driven by her desire to pursue photography seriously and escape her dysfunctional family. On a trip to Los Angeles to sell some photographs, Harper finally takes her first photograph, marking her artistic awakening but also signaling the beginning of the end for their mentor-protégé relationship.
