Synopsis
Groza tells the story of Katerina, a young woman seemingly living a happy life. However, her mother-in-law, Kabanikha, constantly finds fault with her and does not allow her to live peacefully. Katerina's weak-willed husband, Tikhon, always takes his mother's side despite loving Katerina. Unexpectedly, Katerina falls in love with Boris, a younger man who is also a relative of the mayor. Boris reciprocates her feelings.
