Synopsis
The story follows Mickey Scarpato, a lowlife living in the rough neighborhood of God's Pocket in South Philadelphia. When his stepson, Leon, dies under mysterious circumstances during a fight at a construction site, Mickey tries to cover up the truth by staging a car accident. However, things get complicated when a newspaper columnist named Richard Shellhammer starts investigating Leon's death and Leon's mother, Jeannie, becomes suspicious of Mickey's actions.

God's Pocket is a drama film directed by John Slattery in 2014. Set in the gritty, working-class neighborhood of South Philadelphia, the film explores themes of loyalty, deceit, and the struggle to maintain one's dignity in difficult circumstances.
