Synopsis
Disgraced journalist Mikael Blomkvist investigates the disappearance of a wealthy industrialist's niece from forty years ago. He initially declines the offer but changes his mind when the man offers to help clear his name. Blomkvist begins his investigation by speaking with family members, some of whom are reluctant to cooperate. He suspects that her disappearance might be connected to several serial killings that occurred twenty years prior. Impressed by Lisbeth Salander's extensive background check on him, Blomkvist asks for her assistance in the investigation. Despite her anti-social behavior and aggressive hacking methods, Lisbeth proves instrumental in unraveling the truth.
