Synopsis
Harry Bailey, once an undergraduate activist, returns to college for his master's degree aiming to keep a low profile. However, as he gets closer to finishing, he finds himself drawn back into activism due to his girlfriend Jan's involvement in various student movements and his own iconoclastic attitude. The campus is in turmoil with numerous student protests, forcing Harry to navigate between his academic pursuits and his growing desire to participate in the activism.

Résumé
'Getting Straight' (1970), directed by Richard Rush, is a comedy-drama that captures the spirit of college life and political activism during the late 1960s. Based on the novel of the same name by David Rintels, the film follows Harry Bailey's journey from apolitical graduate student to engaged activist.
