Synopsis
Johanna returns to her native village in Sweden after six years of absence following her father's death. She had built a family life with her husband and daughter but felt unfulfilled. While back in her hometown, she encounters Elis, an old flame who she had nearly succeeded in forgetting. Their reunion irrevocably throws Johanna off balance, reigniting feelings for Elis that she thought were long buried. This sudden reminder of their past love causes Johanna to question everything she has built and desired.

Résumé
Geister, die ich rief (short), directed by Lena Knauss, is a German-Swedish short drama film released in 2012. The story revolves around Johanna, a woman who returns to her native village after years of absence, hoping to find happiness and security in her family life but struggling with unfulfilled desires.
