Synopsis
Gabriela, a naive yet seductive migrant worker, arrives in Ilhéus, Brazil during the 1920s. She becomes the cook for Nacib, a Turkish merchant, and quickly captivates him with her raw sensuality. Despite their passionate romance, Gabriela refuses to marry or conform to the rigid local societal norms. The story explores various relationships and power dynamics in Ilhéus, including the forbidden love between Geruza and Mundinho Falcão, and the tragic love triangle involving Osmundo, Sinhazinha, and Colonel Jesuino.

Résumé
Gabriela is a Brazilian soap opera based on Jorge Amado's novel of the same name.
