Synopsis
Fires Within follows a Cuban woman living in Miami with her daughter after being rescued by an American seaman years ago. The woman has been engaged in an affair with this seaman since their arrival in Miami. When her husband, who had been imprisoned as a political prisoner in Cuba, is unexpectedly released and joins them in Miami, she must navigate the complex emotions and tensions that arise from this unexpected reunion.
