Synopsis
Fellwechselzeit (2020) explores the tumultuous relationship between Stephanie and her mentally unstable mother in 1970s Germany. Stephanie, an intelligent and lively child, leads a isolated life marked by her symbiotic bond with her mother who has never fully left her own childhood behind. The family's home is filled with remnants of the past, further isolating them from the world outside. Stephanie's relationship with her father is strained due to his lack of involvement in their lives.
