Synopsis
In Echo Park, Los Angeles, May, a single mother and aspiring actress, rents out one of her rooms to Jonathan, an aspiring songwriter who delivers pizzas for a living. Meanwhile, in the neighboring apartment lives August, an Austrian bodybuilder dreaming of becoming the next Arnold Schwarzenegger. As life's pressures build up, both men vie for May's love while trying to make ends meet and chase their dreams.

Résumé
Echo Park (1986), directed by Robert Dornhelm, is a comedy-drama set in the titular Los Angeles neighborhood where everybody seems to have aspirations beyond their current circumstances.
