Synopsis
In an exclusive gated community in Poland, two powerful families, the Kowalskis and Nowaks, have been engaged in a long-standing blood feud. When Klara Kowalska kills Ewa's brother, the patriarchal code of honor dictates that Ewa must hunt down Klara for retaliation. Under pressure from her father and the community, Ewa sets out on this mission.

Résumé
Eastern (2019), directed by Piotr Adamski, is a Polish drama-thriller set in a dystopian gated community where a patriarchal code of honor governs the lives of its wealthy residents. The film explores the deadly consequences of this code through the ongoing feud between two influential families.
