Synopsis
Hugh Knight, a rising heart surgeon, believes his talent makes him infallible. His 'work hard, play harder' lifestyle catches up with him when he loses his medical license after being caught driving under the influence while on duty. As punishment and to reflect on his actions, Hugh is sent back to his hometown in country Australia where he must work as a local GP. Despite his initial reluctance, Hugh finds himself connecting with his patients and navigating the challenges of small-town life.

Résumé
Doctor Doctor is an Australian comedy-drama series that follows Hugh Knight, a gifted but arrogant heart surgeon who believes he can live outside the rules due to his talent. When his hard-partying lifestyle leads him to lose his medical license after a DUI incident while on duty, Hugh is forced to leave behind his big city life and return to his hometown to work as a general practitioner. The series explores Hugh's journey of redemption as he grapples with the challenges of small-town medicine and the personal growth that comes from leaving his old lifestyle behind.
