Synopsis
Der Brand follows Judith, a confident and independent woman in her mid-thirties, who is raped on her way home after an evening out. The traumatic event triggers a relentless pursuit of justice by Judith, who initially attempts to navigate the legal system with the help of her lawyer. However, when her rapist's false statement threatens her chances of conviction, Judith decides to take matters into her own hands and seek revenge. Throughout the film, she embarks on an unconventional path to prove his guilt.
