Histoire
In the early 1910s, journalist Arvid Stjärnblom and painter's daughter Lydia Stille fall in love with each other while spending time together on the archipelago. However, Arvid's ambition to make a name for himself in the world clashes with his feelings for Lydia, leading him to delay their marriage. A decade passes, during which both Arvid and Lydia marry other people. When they meet again, they begin an affair that causes them to reflect upon the changes in their lives and the complexities of love. The consequences of their affair are unforeseeable, set against the backdrop of turn-of-the-century Stockholm.
