Synopsis
John Ellis, an ER doctor in a suburban area, becomes embroiled in gang-related violence when he intervenes in a drive-by shooting to save a young boy's life. In doing so, he kills one of the attackers, drawing the ire of the gang targeting the boy. When John learns that the boy is still marked for death, he takes it upon himself to protect him at any cost, ultimately changing his outlook on medicine and his own existence.

Complications (2015) is a thrilling drama series that explores the darker side of suburban life through the lens of an ER doctor, John Ellis. The show begins when John intervenes in a gang-related incident, saving a boy's life but attracting unwanted attention from the gang involved. This act sets off a chain of events that challenge John's perspectives on his profession and his personal safety, as he becomes determined to protect the boy no matter what.
