Synopsis
In the tumultuous aftermath of Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination, French writer Romain Gary and his American actress wife Jean Seberg find themselves drawn into the civil rights struggle of the late 1960s. During this time of social unrest, they decide to take in an abandoned white dog (the 'Chien Blanc' or 'White Dog'), adding it to their family alongside their son. This act of compassion brings a new sense of companionship and responsibility into their lives, providing some solace amidst the chaos and uncertainty of the era.
