Synopsis
An American veteran of the Dominican Republic intervention (LBJ era), now running a Miami hotel, becomes romantically involved with the wife of a deposed general from the Dominican Republic where he fought many years back. This involvement leads him into a dangerous web of intrigue as he is manipulated by various parties seeking to exploit his connection to the general's wife.

Résumé
Cat Chaser (1989) is an action-drama film directed by Abel Ferrara, based on the novel by Elmore Leonard. Set against the backdrop of Miami's criminal underworld and the political instability in the Dominican Republic, the movie follows the protagonist's struggle to leave his troubled past behind while becoming entangled in a complex conspiracy involving his romantic interest, the wife of a deposed general.
