Synopsis
Middle-aged Gerald Kingsland places an advertisement in a London newspaper seeking a female companion to spend a year with him on a deserted island. Young Lucy Irvine responds to the ad, and after meeting a couple of times, they decide to embark on this unconventional journey together. However, once on the island, things prove far less idyllic than they had imagined. It becomes apparent that Lucy possesses the determination and resilience necessary to see their year-long ordeal through.
