Synopsis
Borderline follows Kiki at various stages of her life. After her mother is institutionalized, she lives with her grandmother and finds solace in school. Her early adult life is characterized by promiscuity and alcohol abuse as coping mechanisms. She goes through men one after another.

Directed by Lyne Charlebois and released in 2008, Borderline is a Canadian erotic drama that explores the tumultuous life of its protagonist, Kiki. Based on two novels ('Borderline' and 'La Brèche'), the film delves into Kiki's upbringing with her grandmother after her mother's institutionalization. As she approaches her 30th birthday, Kiki reflects on her life marked by sexual promiscuity and alcohol abuse.
