Synopsis
On a sweltering summer day in a small French town, a construction worker stumbles upon the skeletal remains of an infant during his work. Detective Jacques Deveure (Vincent Winterhalter) is assigned to investigate this disturbing discovery. As he digs deeper into the case, Deveure uncovers a web of illicit activities involving prominent townspeople such as Grandier (Francois Berleand) and Blandine Piancet (Audrey Tautou). The story continually reveals unexpected turns and layers of deceit.
