Synopsis
In 'Bankomatt', three young thugs attempt a gas-station robbery which goes awry when they're pursued by police. Three of them drown while evading a roadblock, leaving one survivor. Bruno Ganz, who has been planning a major heist for years, rescues this remaining thief and recruits him along with his girlfriend to aid in the crime. Despite initial reluctance, the young couple agrees. Bruno, until now working as a gardener to maintain a low profile, brings them into his meticulous plan.

Résumé
'Bankomatt' is a Swiss-Italian thriller directed by Villi Hermann and released in 1989. The film centers around a heist orchestrated by the enigmatic Bruno (Bruno Ganz), who has been lying low by working as a gardener. After witnessing three young criminals evade police during a robbery gone wrong, Bruno sees potential in one surviving thief and recruits him along with his girlfriend to execute his long-planned scheme.
