Synopsis
Appropriate Behavior follows Shirin (Desiree Akhavan), an Iranian-American woman living in Brooklyn who struggles to fit into various identities: the ideal Persian daughter, a politically correct bisexual, and a hip young Brooklynite. The film explores her journey as she navigates these identities, ultimately failing to meet societal expectations. Despite her efforts, Shirin finds herself lonely and without a clear sense of self.
