Synopsis
Anna, a quiet young woman living in Bergamo with her parents and working as a cashier at a café bar, meets Guido, a Milanese gangster hiding out in their town. Anna falls for him despite his warnings that he's no good. She accompanies Guido to Milan where she witnesses a Mob hit. To ensure she won't testify against them, Guido's boss forces her into prostitution. When Anna becomes pregnant and Guido wants her to have an abortion, she rebels against her situation.
