Synopsis
Paul Keller, a married pastor with an illicit affair with Veronica Dow, his son's teacher, decides to fake his own death to escape his deceitful life. However, their plan goes awry when Paul hits his head and suffers from amnesia, not recognizing himself or his past. Wandering into a motel where he used to meet Veronica, he is found by Charlene Hunt, the lonely motel manager who realizes Keller has amnesia and takes him in as her prisoner and lover. Meanwhile, Keller's wife Martha becomes a suspect for foul play due to an insurance investigator's probe, leading her to form an unwitting alliance with Dow.
