Synopsis
Across the Universe follows Jude, a young dockworker from Liverpool who leaves for America to find his estranged father. Upon arriving in Boston, he meets and falls in love with Lucy, an American art student involved in the growing anti-war movement. As their relationship deepens, they become swept up in the tumultuous events of the 1960s, including political protests, riots, and the Vietnam War. Throughout their journey, Jude and Lucy encounter a colorful cast of characters who influence them, causing their love story to unfold against a backdrop of cultural shifts and historical unrest.
