Synopsis
The film 'Un secret' follows François Grimbert, a French boy born in 1953 who discovers from his neighbor that his family is Jewish. As he grows up, he becomes a physician and gradually uncovers layers of his family's buried history, which significantly shaped his upbringing. Raised as Catholic by his parents who appear 'Aryan', François' father worked hard to suppress stereotypical Jewish characteristics in him. The family had many secrets due to their relatives fighting in World War II and later being hauled off to labor and death camps by the Gestapo.
