Synopsis
In 'Un poison violent', Anna returns home from her Catholic boarding school for the holidays to find that her father has left the family. Her mother, devastated by this turn of events, finds solace in the company of the local priest, who happens to be a childhood friend. Anna, however, feels drawn towards Pierre, a free-spirited teenager who seems indifferent to religious matters. As Anna prepares for her confirmation, she begins to question her faith as her feelings for Pierre grow stronger. She grapples with the desire to give herself over 'body and soul', but struggles to discern whether this is directed towards God or something else.
