Synopsis

In suburban Adelaide of the early 70s, 'Travelling Light' revolves around two sisters: Leanne and Bronwyn. Leanne, played by Pia Miranda, is pursuing her passion for photography while training to be a teacher. She lives at home with her parents, played by Heather Mitchell and Marshall Napier. Meanwhile, Bronwyn, portrayed by Sacha Horler, struggles to adapt to married life in remote Yallaroo with her husband Brian, played by Tamblyn Lord, eventually running away from it all. Into this scene arrives an American poet named Lou, played by Brett Stiller, who encourages the younger generation to 'seek out the light'. Leanne's neighbor Gary, played by Tim Draxl, and her friend Debra, played by Anna Torv, are both drawn to Lou's charismatic presence.
