Synopsis
Tipping the Velvet (series) (2002) follows Nan King, a working-class girl from Whitstable who falls in love with music hall performer Kitty Butler. Impersonating a man to join Kitty's troupe, Nan experiences life as a male impersonator and eventually becomes a popular performer herself.
