Synopsis
Dr. Anton M. Kashtanov, a skilled surgeon and head of a large clinic, becomes weary of his overbearing wife Pauline's constant dominance. In pursuit of freedom, he leaves his city life behind to escape her influence by moving to the peaceful village of Still Waters. Upon arriving, Anton reconnects with his childhood friend.
