Synopsis
The story unfolds through the eyes of Christian, an 18-year-old student in Hirtshafen, a small fishing town on the Baltic shore. The film begins with a minute's silence being observed at his grammar school, in memory of Stella Petersen, their young English teacher. Christian had a romantic relationship with Stella during a magical summer that ended abruptly and tragically. Through flashbacks, we relive their affair as it develops from innocent feelings to passionate love. However, the story takes a tragic turn, ultimately leading to Stella's untimely death, which transforms their relationship into an immortal memory.
