Synopsis
Mascara follows three friends approaching their thirtieth birthdays who are grappling with varying degrees of personal turmoil. The first woman, still emotionally scarred from her mother's suicide, finds herself in a relationship with a photographer who has an unsettling interest in his teenage daughter's developing body. The second woman discovers that her husband is a credit card addict, ruining their financial stability just months into their marriage. The third friend, separated from her philandering husband, engages in vengeful affairs, leading to one of her partners physically assaulting her.
