Synopsis
Marcella Backland, a former Metropolitan Police detective, returns to her job at the murder squad after a twelve-year career break. Her return comes amidst the sudden and unexpected departure of her husband Jason, who confesses that he no longer loves her. Heartbroken and isolated from her children, Marcella throws herself into work to cope with her personal life's upheaval. She is assigned to investigate a series of murders that seem eerily familiar to her.
