Synopsis
Malenkaya Vera follows the life of young Vera living in a small Russian apartment with her parents amidst the turmoil leading up to the fall of the Soviet Union. Their cramped living situation and heavy alcohol consumption create constant tension at home. Despite this, Vera tries to maintain a semblance of normalcy, even finding love with Sergei who eventually moves into their already crowded apartment after their relationship becomes intimate. Vera's life continues to be challenging as she navigates her complex family dynamics and personal relationships.
