Synopsis

In 'Ma vie en cinémascope', we follow the life of Alys Robi, a renowned vocalist who rises to fame in the early 1950s Montreal. Born in Québec and interned by her father at age 13, Alys leaves home to pursue her dreams under the name Alys Robi. She first works at the National Theatre with La Poune, who takes her under her wing, before joining John Grimaldi's cast. Along the way, she meets and falls in love with Olivier Guimond but eventually becomes involved with Lucio Asgotini professionally and romantically. Her career soars internationally as she charms fans with songs like 'Tico Tico' and 'Besame Mucho'. However, her success hides a dark truth that threatens to change everything when medical authorities suggest a lobotomy as a cure for an unspecified ailment.
