Synopsis
Janosik. Prawdziwa historia (2009) follows the life of Janosik, a legendary outlaw from the Carpathian Mountains. The film begins with Janosik's imprisonment for stealing livestock. After escaping, he joins a group of outlaws led by Juraj. Together, they rob the rich and help the poor, becoming local heroes. Along the way, Janosik falls in love with Zuzanna, a maiden from his village. However, their happiness is short-lived as the Hapsburg authorities send a ruthless commander to capture them. The story culminates in a dramatic confrontation between Janosik's gang and the authorities.
