Synopsis
Hra follows Petr, a young theatre director in a small Czech town who embarks on an ambitious project to adapt Euripides' 'Fedra'. During rehearsals, he loses his two main actors, causing tension with the municipality which threatens to cut funding due to the play's political content. Meanwhile, Petr becomes romantically involved with Karolina, the young actress playing the lead role. His personal life suffers as a result, with his wife growing distant and eventually leaving him. Just before the premiere, Karolina also disappears. Despite these setbacks, Petr continues with the production, but the play is ultimately a failure. Devastated, he tries to salvage what's left of his life, but it may already be too late.
