Synopsis
In 'Das Mädchen aus dem Fahrstuhl', Frank, a tenth-grade student in the GDR, falls in love with his classmate Regine. Despite their romantic feelings, their social and academic circumstances present challenges to their relationship. Regine aspires to be a kindergarten teacher but her poor grades hinder her plans. Frank, whose father holds a prestigious position as a plant manager, tries to advocate for Regine's ambitions by questioning the rigid regulations governing their society.
