Synopsis
Jon, a middle-aged professor, is days away from marrying his much younger former student. However, preparations for the wedding are fraught with complications. Jon's mother-in-law-to-be opposes the marriage and demands repayment of a loan before the nuptials. Meanwhile, Jon's plans to build a golf course on their island home, Flatey, aren't progressing smoothly. His best man goes missing after a heavy drinking session, and Jon is haunted by his first wife's lingering presence. As wedding guests arrive, Jon begins to have second thoughts about marrying again. After a night of drinking and introspection, Jon must decide whether he can make it to the church on time.
